Name origin: When she was a little girl people thought she stole things, and they'd ask if they just disappeared instead of her stealing them. She finally got tired and said she made them disappear. They started to call her a little witch. She hated it, so she asked people call her GD instead. Their her initials.

History: G.D. doesn't know or remember her parents. She's been in an orphanage since she can remember. She got to be about 5 and someone started to steal other people's things and hide them under her bed. People would find them and ask her how they got there. She never knew, she didn't take them. So they asked if they just magically got there. She got so annoyed with the question one day she said yes. Of course they didn't believe her, but to make fun of her they called her a witch. They kept making fun of her and called her a Witch. She got sick of it and ran away when she was 7.
The newsies found her and took her in. When asked what her name was she just gave her initials. G.D. There are still orphans that meet her that remember her a miss witch, but she's got so many friends in the newsies she usually asks someone to set them straight. She's now been a newsie for 11 years. An old veteran with no real desire to be a leader.
