It was dark out, the shadows of the street casting even darker shadows into places the lights of shops didnt reach. Cole walked along the walk his hands in his pockets, his eye set forward.
He had alook of possible concentration or deep thought by the furrow in his brows, but as he neared the corner he stopped, resting against the tree that was there. There wasnt much light near it so it made it impossible for one to see clearly.
Cole tipped his head back, looking up into the tree though he couldnt see anything at all it was much too dark where he was. HE wasnt looking for anything, just a glimpse of the crescent moon.
Letting his chin fall back forward he watched the outlines of people and studied their form when they got to the lighter parts of the area. That was cole... an observer.

Cole had kind of zoned out when something ran into him. He looked down to see an darkened figure of a girl. His brow rose as she said excuse me. Her voice sounded familiar an then it clicked. He smirked, cole had photgraphic memory and he was good at details like voice tones.
"Oh.. leaving me so soon?"he asked. "Didnt think the big bad leader of the bronx was afraid of the dark..."he commented.

"well congratulations.."He said. "you remember without needing a face"He smirked, then again it was hard not to recognize his voice.
"Oh.. .iM just dandy..."He said with sarcasm, it was usually an ever present tone in his voice. "And you?"he asked. He actually sounded interested... though it was hard to tell if it was earnest.

"now why are you getting defensive?"he asked. 'I was merely..asking... or stating.. whatever you want to take from that'He shrugged casually.
"No, you didnt have to"he said. "Walk with me will you?"He said, though it was less of a question and more of a ... we're walking.. so follow.

He didnt say much, leaving his hands in his pockets as he looked up into the night sky. Finally after awhile he looked over at her. "So star..'He said. 'tell me something. Whyd you follow me?"he asked.
"and I dont mean in a stalker way I mean... just now. When I said lets walk."he looked down at her waiting for her answer.

He grunted."Im not heading that way"He said to her. "and since when have you felt comfortable around me.."He said, 'or trust me for that matter."
Cole had turned his gaze forward but at his last statement he looked back down at her.

HE nodded. "mmm..'He stopped near another tree turning towards her. 'Tell me, howd you come to be the leader of the bronx?"he asked.
Cole crossed his arms as he leaned against the tree, his head tilted to the side with interest.

He nodded "i see..."He said. "So... What business do you have with my brother?"he asked suddenly.
Cole was a bit... underhandedly possessive of his brother and hed heard that blake had been talkling a lot lately with star, houdini... and well Gabbi, but thats to he expected as well as houdini. But they didnt know star before they left... she was knew, not that he was okaying the other two, because honetly he.. didnt care for either or... well gabbi and his relationship is a ... bit wierd.

"I like to know who hes conversing with"he said. "he is my brother after all. I have that right." Cole brought a hand up to rub his slightly stubbled cheek and then down towards his chin as he studied her in the darkness.
"What do you plan on donig?'he asked. "i mean,... you dont wanna be a newsie forever do you?"he said.

He let his hand fall back to his side and he placed them into his pockets. 'Wheres the name starsage come from anyway?"he asked.

"shame..."He said, "yaeh I can understand what you mean. Thats a lot of repsonsibility being a leader..."He said with a nod. "lots of responsibilty and lives that are on your hands in case things turn ugly for some reason"
"hm... well its ... nice"He said, "I see it kinda fits you..'He smirked charmingly. He could almost pass for his brother minus the mongo amounts of over done compliments.

"yes..'He said, "That I was.... "He looked at her, he didnt seem to have any change in his expression or tone at the question.
Cole was always hard to gauge really and you could never tell what was truly going on with him, nor whether he was truly being sincere or not, he could dmake you believe whatever he wanted, most of the time.
Cole nodded> "Wheres your family?"he asked her his eyes stil one hr.
