He shrugged and leaned back on his hands. 'well.."He said, 'Blame it on anything you like... the fact is... you're still sitting here at a picnic with me.."He smirked. "with candle light no less.."He nodded. 'I think thats pretty nice if I do say so myself."
He studied her wondering what she was thinking. Tilting his head, blake licked his lips and sighed a bit. He was thinking about that kiss as well... though thinking about when they could repeat it. Of course Houdini would more then likely punch him if he tried it again... but that was the fun wasnt it?

Houdini rolled her eyes and sighed. "All right, you score extra with candles.." she said smirking. She watched as he licked his lips...That couldn't be a good sign...

He gave her one his charming grins, "Have I told you yet that you look absolutely stunning?"he asked. "Cause... i think I may have forgotten"

"Ya know, I don't find that very flattering considering the amount of girls I'm sure you tell that to." Houdini said scowling. She softened her expression somewhat and leaned a bit closer. "Though I will admit, that you look pretty nice yourself." she said narrowing her eyes and grinning.

Blakes brows quirked. 'My houdini... really this night you have surprsied me on several counts"he leaned forward as well reaching out to tug and a bit of hair that had fallen forward.

Houdini sat back and creased her brow. "How do I know you're not lying then, huh?" she asked frowning. She wanted him to be speaking the truth - but she wouldn't put it past him to lie to her face to get what he wanted.

Houdini raised an eyebrow and traditionally slapped away his hand from her hair. "How so?" she asked stubbornly.

"Really... Ive always told you the truth"he nodded looking sincere. "Well except that one time that I told you that you smell.. that wasnt ture.. i made it sound like you smell like fish when really you smelled like daisies."
"How so?"
He didnt seem phased by her slappng of his hands away from her hair and just did it again.
"oh.. I dont know... what do you think?"he saiid tilting his head a bit to the side.

Houdini thought a moment, "Well, If I trust you, that is going against my better judgment - and if I trust myself, well...That's just telling me not to trust you. So it appears to me that neither work in your favor." She said smirking.
"Really... Ive always told you the truth" "Well except that one time that I told you that you smell.. that wasnt ture.. i made it sound like you smell like fish when really you smelled like daisies."
Houdini shook her head, "No, actually you were tellin' the truth that time..." she said smirking at the memory. That was when she had fallen off the dock in Brooklyn and came out completely drenched and smelling like rotten fish mixed with sewage.
"oh.. I dont know... what do you think?"
"Well...I haven't injured you yet, have I?" she asked shrugging and grinning. They seriously have a love-hate relationship. Or at least, on Houdini's side they did.

He shrugged> "Gues.. lll just have to take what Im given'he said as he leaned back on his hands again, taking another bite of the roll. "wow... these are delicious..'He said looking at the roll and taking another bite. "you should really try these."
"No, actually you were tellin' the truth that time..."
He laughed. "mm..."he said. "yeah... yeah this is true...."He tilted his head. "you know...' he pointed to her the half eaten roll in his hand still. 'You're not an easy woman to please"

Blake gruntd. 'Suppose not."He took another bit eof the roll. "That reminds me... How do I look? Does it make me look ... dangerously handsome?"he asked, motioning towards the black eye shed given him earlier.

Houdini sighed and picked one up, twirling it around in her hand before biting some of it. For all she knew, he could have poisoned it...
'You're not an easy woman to please"
Houdini tilted her head to the side, "Yet you still try...?" she said quizzically.
"That reminds me... How do I look? Does it make me look ... dangerously handsome?"
Houdini almost choked on the bite of roll in her mouth. She coughed, laughing, "I dunno, you kinda remind me of a panda..." she said still laughing.

He smirked as she rolled it around in her hand and then finally take a bite. "They taste fresh huh/"he asked with a qquirk of his brow.
he picked another one up and took a bite. Rolls were almost his favorite. He wished he did have real money the kind he didnt have to steal Then he could buy brownies.... his favorite werre home baked brownies and he would stand at that bakery all day eating them if he could. Of course he didt have that money, not the kind he could just waste on brownies so... hed have to be satisfied with brownies once and awhile.
He smirked. "Well... is it a bad thing that I try?"he asked with a quirk of his brow. "I mean... if someone doesnt who is?"
Blake licked his lips and then looked over at her. "you look amazing in the candle light, you know that?"he asked as he took another bite
His mouth dropped. "a panda!"He sid. "Well thats not nice.. here i am complimenting you and you call me a panda"He shook his head. 'Terrible'He frowned making it look like he was upset about this.

Houdini shrugged, "I guess it's good to try, even if you don't get results back." she said biting her lip, "But, don't you ever just give up?" she asked crossing her arms. "I mean, all I do is insult you, yet you still compliment me...What's with that?" she asked fiercely.

Though it touched her that he said that, she ignored it.

Houdini laughed. "My point exactly. But really, you do look alot like a panda with that nice shiner..." she sad giggling. "Who gave it to you? I'd like to kiss the bum that did it." she said, unaware that it had in fact been her that had done it. she knew she had hit him somewhere - she just didn't know where.

Houdini furrowed her brow. She hadn't shown any emotion whatsoever in front of him, or anybody for that matter, so she didn't know how he would have been able to see any flicker of appreciation in her deep eyes.

Houdini laughed out loud and said, "Well you wont be gettin' no looks like that from me." She was telling the truth in all aspects, but just because he wouldn't see the look - doesn't mean she wasn't thinking it.

Houdini shrugged, "I guess I was so busy trying to kill you that I didn't really pay attention to where my fists were going." she said grinning. Her legs were getting quite uncomfortable in the cramped position that they were in under her, and she slid them out in front of her, crossing them.

He smirked. 'Well... Im just glad you didnt aim lower... much lower. T hat would have been awful."He shook his head. He could hear rowdy voices from the streets and he knew that people were leaving irving hall.
