Was that a bed? A real bed? It surely didn't look like the wooden surface of a train car that would rattle underneath you as you slept. Dreamer was afraid that if she would fall asleep on the bed given to her, she would wake up and find herself in a dark train car with the steam engine chugging faintly heard over the fast pace of the train's wheels.
But she felt so tired. She could hardly stand at the moment, even with Foster's help. It was a wonder to her how she got herself on there in the first place, but the next thing she knew, she was lying on top of the softest mattress she could think of. The pillow was plump and full of feathers that gently caressed her skin. The blanket was as warm to her as a summer day. Closing her eyes, she tried to sleep as best as she could.
"Thank you," she murmmered softly
