Jester walked into lennigans, tipping her hat back on her head when it had fallen forward. She grinned widely and headed over towards the bar.
Jester loved brooklyn, there was just something about this place that drew her in. So why wasnt she a newsie there? Well.. it just didnt happen that way and she didnt feel like moving from one place to another. Selling in Long island and then coming to brooklyn whenever she felt like it... well that was good enough for her.
She took a seat on a bar stool pulling out the little bit of change shed made that day.
"one please"she said. She knew the bartender well, hell she was a regular there.
She grinned when it was placed in front of her. She took a long much needed drink from her glass. It had gotten quite warm today and shed stopped selling halfway through and ended up trying to have some fun.
THe rest of the day she was being chased by some shop boys, till finally they gave up on her. |

Jinks walked into the Pub since there wasn't anything else to do. She spotted someone over where she normally sits. She desided to give the kid a brake so she walked over to the seat that was beside her's and sat down.
"One foh me too." said Jinks to the bar tender and she smiled at the girl. "Hi da names Jinks leadah of da Staten Island Newsies." said Jinks.

Jester took another drink before looking over at the girl that had sat down. She grinned at her "Well hello there Jinks, leader of the staten newsies."She said, 'i am... Jester permanent residence at the long island lodging house and current ... newsie if thats what you wanna call what I do"she smirked.
"Nice to meet you"She said and took another drink. 'What brings you to brooklyn?"She asked the girl. |

"Spot," said Jinks "I'se found a note sayin dat 'e wanted ta talk ta me. I'se just avoidin 'im foh now." said Jinks. "A Long Island newsie huh?" asked Jinks.
"I'se shoulda known. Ya do look like one of KittyKat's newsies." said Jinks.

"oh?"she said. 'Avoidin him? Whys that?"she asked. Jester had that manner that it was hard to dislike her and easy to talk to.
She quirked a brow with curious interest. 'oh? and what kind of a look is that?"she asked, not taking offense at all.

Jinks laughed "The look dat you'se can beat anyone dat challenges you'se." said Jinks and smiled.
"Well I'se avoiding Spot because.....well it's kinda difficulte." said Jinks. "See I'se Jacks sistah and if he finds out somethin I'se tink dat will ruin the friendship between Manhattan and Brooklyn." said Jinks.

Jester laughed. "Good words good words" she nodded> "that... does seem to run true for us long islanders"she smirked. "Though Im glad to see it doesnt always make people afraid to challenge us. I do love challenges..."She nodded with another wide grin.
Jesters brows quirked at her words about why she was avoiding spot. She had leaned against the bartop, her finger subconciously twirling a long blond curl around her finger tip, pulling it free and then starting over again. "hm...'She said, 'That serious?"She shook her head. 'Thats... unfortunate"She frowned and then tilted her head a bit. "So... is spot gonna tell jack somethin?... or...?"She looked down trying o figure it out before looking back up at her again.

"ah..'SHe said, "i see....."She grinned, "Well...'She said, "How close are you an' spot?"She asked, "I mean.. You just ... likin' on each other, or you guys like.. good friends or something?"she asked with curiosty.
She quirked her brow. "You dont know?"she asked, "Im sorry im so confused. "She laughed lightly. 'Why dont you start from the beginning"She offered.

"Well I'se was da Staten Island leadah two years ago an dat's when me brodda introduced me ta all of da odda. Dat's when I'se met Spot. He was nice ta me, but afta dat he started ta be mean and different from when I'se foist met 'im." said Jinks and her smile started to fade.
"But afta that we met each odda privetly and during those meetin's he was nice and not 'ow he usally is." said Jinks "Dat's when I'se started fallin foh 'im but I'se don' think dat 'e likes me dat much." said Jinks and started to smile again

Jester listend to her. "ah..'She said, "Well sounds like spot.."she said, drumming her fingertips. "Well e's got this reputation, so you know he wont ever admit anything in public nor will he treatcha differently in front of people"She took another drink.
"So prolly the only way youll know for sure is getting him by yerselves and talking to him"She said, "Think you can talk to him?"She asked, "cause... i mean.. the guy could actaully like you but well hes stubborn, you know"she shrugged.

"yea 'es so big on 'is stupid reputation." said Jinks and took a drink. " I'se just 'ate it ya know. Spot can be a really great guy if 'e wanted ta." said Jinks "amen ta da stubborn stuff." she said and laughed.
"Yea I'se tink I'se can talk ta 'im." said Jinks and smiled. "You'se a great listener Jester." she said and gave Jester a pat on the back.
