Mike sat on his 'throne' made out of boxes and crates in Midtown. How nice was it to be back in his domain? He smirked to himself, Jack just had the Lodging House. In which he had to share with all of the boys, and girls. Mike actually had control over his warehouse. He lit a cigarette, and waited for the lovely Miss Sarah Jacobs.
This would be easier than taking candy from a baby. All he had to do was woo her, Sarah wasn't the smartest girl out there. It would take her a while to figure out what Mike was doing. By then, it would be too late. He just had to make sure that Sarah didn't know his last name, just in case she mentioned him to David or Jack. Knowing Kelly, he probably told half of New York about Mike.
Taking a drag, he leaned back into his throne. It felt wonderful to have the feeling of power. He smirked, things were going brilliantly. He had three spies; Bella, Daphne and Shadow. They were doing their job, and it was making him be a very happy erm..bad guy.
One of his boys, Mike forgot his name, but he wasn't very important, just very annoying. He came in and told Mike that someone by the name 'Sarah Jacobs' was here. Mike smirked, "Bring her in, we have important business to discuss." He flicked off some of the ashes, and took another drag. This was going to work out perfectly...

Sarah fidgeted nervously as she watched the clock. She had exactly twenty minutes to get out of here and to Midtown to meet Mike, and that included taking the back alleys and avoiding all newsies. Yes, Sarah knew she was doing something wrong. Jack obviously would not be very happy with her seeing another guy. But they were only friends, right? Right, Sarah told herself. She was not meeting him for anything more than friendly conversation. And she also knew she was being foolish. Meeting a guy at an unknown place. She was acting completely on impulse. But this was to show her freedom, right? She wasn't doing this just for herself, right? She was doing this to spite Jack and her parents. Yes, that's right.
Finally, her boss let her off. Sarah thanked him quickly and then dashed out the door. She was going to be very late now. But that wasn't her biggest worry right now. What she needed to worry about was getting there. She searched through the files in her mind and tried to find the information she had stored away for today. Oh, right! She remembered now. Take a left on Broadway....
Sarah was there within ten minutes. She probably would have been there faster if she hadn't had to avoid four different newsies. Sarah was pretty sure she was being followed. Jack was protective and he probably had a birdie on her. Sarah cursed him and his overprotectiveness. But she pushed all that aside and decided to focus on her lunch date with Mike.
When she arrived at Midtown, Sarah felt herself slowly becoming sick. This was Midtown? It looked worse than Brooklyn. Shoving these thoughts aside, Sarah gulped and headed into Midtown. Just a few more blocks and she would be at the warehouse. Just a few more blocks. Finally, she arrived there and was shown in by a boy named Speedy. Sarah had to smile at that. Immediately, she knew why he got his name. Not because he could run fast, but because he talked a mile a minute. He remined her of Les.
She nodded a thanks to him and then turned to Mike. He sat on a few crates, positioned to look like a throne. Sarah smiled and took a step forward. All the doubts she felt earlier were washed away as she looked up at Mike. This place was impressive, his newsies were impressive, he was impressive....
"Hello, Mike," she said politely.

"Hello, Mike,"
Mike smiled, and stood up. "Hello, Sarah, love." He said with a smile. As long as he could fake his friendship, or whatever it was he had with her, he was good. He flicked away his cigarette, and walked down his throne to greet her. A smirk crept on his face, as he noticed how nice she looked. He had her right where he wanted her.
All he had to do was use her to get to David and Jack. David would be the easiest because he was fairly new, and from what he had head; David had trust issues with Jack. This whole Santa Fe thing that happened during the strike, something about Jack leaving. Mike smirked, he could use this to his advantage.
He glanced at Sarah, and smiled. In a few mere minutes he would have her wrapped around his finger, hopefully. She seemed so innocent, so unaware of what was going on around her. It was a good quality to have, but not in this situation. In this situation knowing all you could know would be the best thing.
Mike decided to warm her up a bit, girls like to be complimented on their clothes.. right? She did dress up a bit, and that made him feel special. He smiled, "I'm so glad you could make it." He said, quietly. "Sarah, darling, you look very nice." He cringed inside, noticing how corny he sounded. He felt bad because of Alice. Here he was seducing Sarah Jacobs, a common girl for that fact. Where he had Alice Roosevelt; the Governor's daughter, waiting for him. He brushed that thought aside. The things he had to do to take over New York...

"Hello, Sarah, love."
A small shiver went up her spine as he called her that. Sarah wasn't sure if it was because she was nervous or excited. She brushed that thought aside and focused on Mike. She was glad to finally have a carefree day. She had asked for a day off from her work at Tibby's, and had told her mom that she was gonna be out and about with Jack and other's. Yes, she lied to her mother, but she had to. Her mom wouldn't understand. Her mother loved Jack, but she didn't get to see the bad parts of Jack. She would never understand.
"Hello, Mike," she finally responded. She was trying to control her thoughts, but that was proving to be difficult.
"I'm so glad you could make it."
Sarah smiled and nodded, "I'm glad too. I have been longing for a day to get out." She had been working and nothing more the past few weeks. Her parents were busy and so was her brothers. Les had himself a little girlfriend and David was busy with work and the newsies. And Jack was... just busy.
"Sarah, darling, you look very nice."
Immediately, Sarah felt her cheeks flare up. "Thanks. You do too." Her eyes gazed over him. He was dressed in slacks and a nice dress shirt. Sarah found that she was staring and blushed even deeper and looked away. How embarrassing!

"Hello, Mike,"
Mike grinned, as he wondered how she was. Hopefully she was in a good mood, so he could seduce her and get her right where he wanted her. Although, if she was in a bad mood it would be better for him. He could let her lay all of her thoughts on him, and he would welcome her emotions with open arms. If she tried to talk to Jack, he would push her away. Poor innocent Sarah, she never got the love she needed. Her brother was too busy for her, along with her boyfriend.
"I'm glad too. I have been longing for a day to get out."
He nodded, "Oh really?" Mike smirked, this was the perfect opportunity to put his plan into action. "And how have you been, Sarah?" He asked, "Good, I hope." He then mentally kicked himself, she would be so used to hiding her feelings because of Jack and David. "You can be honest with me, tell me what you feel." He said, putting his hand on her shoulder with a smile. Ugh, how disgusting was this? He hoped the fakeness didn't show through his smile.
"Thanks. You do too."
Mike looked down at what he was wearing, it was nothing out of the ordinary. Well, neither was hers. He thought Alice looked much leveler in a plain old dress than Sarah could ever hope to be. Maybe that's because he is smitten with Alice...not Sarah. Sarah was just a girl, just a common girl. She was nothing special, she was perfect for Jack then. Mike beamed at that thought, he had the better girlfriend too. He had the Governor's Daughter, not the sister of his best friend.

"Oh really?"
Sarah nodded, "Yes, my life has been so boring. Go to work, come home. Very repetitive." Sarah sighed and looked down. She hated complaining, because she knew she had a very blessed life; but sometimes it felt good to just tell someone. Her mother had always told her that she would always be there to talk, but Sarah never felt that way. Her mother would surely scold her for being so ungrateful.
"And how have you been, Sarah? Good, I hope."
She shrugged. "Alright. And you?" Sarah shifted uncomfortably. This was a little awkward. Why had she come here again? Sarah knew the reason, of course, but she wanted to find another reason. Sarah was feeling guilty. She shouldn't be here. There was no reason for her to be here. One side argued, but the other argued right back. But what is wrong with this? Jack hangs out with girls all the time. Why can't you hang out with Mike? What is so wrong about this? Sarah choose to listen to that side.
"You can be honest with me, tell me what you feel."
Sarah tensed slightly at his touch. Why was she so tense? She shrugged, avoiding eye contact. Sarah mentally kicked herself. She was acting like a submissive girlfriend. Sarah saw one to many times girls only talking when talked to. Or just doing what her 'master' says. Sarah refused to be that. She looked up at Mike and finally admitted, "I don't know. I'm confused."

"Yes, my life has been so boring. Go to work, come home. Very repetitive."
Well, that sounded like the funnest thing to do with time. Mike tried not to roll his eyes. A boring lifestyle for a boring girl. "Well, hopefully things will liven up for you." With his plan, things would liven up fast for her. He wanted Jack and Sarah to break up, their relationship was almost over anyway. Jack didn't care about Sarah, she was more of a stupid dog to him. Mike pitied Sarah, he didn't know what she saw in Jack, and he didn't like how Jack was treating her. Even though Sarah wasn't the smartest, or the prettiest, she still was a human being.
"Alright. And you?"
Mike smirked, "Oh, I've been just wonderful. Things have been working out perfectly for me." He said, "New York has given me a better welcome than I could have expected." His smirk grew, he knew Sarah wouldn't catch on that he was Mike D. Greaser, and not some perfect newsie that she thought he was. Her reaction would be perfect, and Jack's reaction to her being with him would be priceless. It would make him suffer; and that's why Mike was alive, just to see Jack Kelly suffer.
"I don't know. I'm confused."
Mike tried to hide his laugh with a cough. It wasn't the first time she was confused, the poor thing's whole life was a confused ball of yarn. He noticed that his cough sounded like he laughed, and to make sure that she knew he wasn't laugh at her, even though he was. He said, "I'm sorry, its so dusty in here, I had to sneeze, and then I coughed at the same time. So sorry, love." He said with a smile. "What are you confused with?" He asked, changing the subject. "Maybe I can help, I'm good with sorting out problems." He said with a smile.
