Cole strode towards the lodging house. His brother had talked him into at least taking a day before making his way to the lodging house, and knowing he was right, he did so.
But today was the day of reckoning. he was going to go there and see just exactly who it was that they had replaced him with, see if he was worthy, though Cole seriously doubted it. From the sounds of it, no one had ever seen this kid in action, so no one knew if this guy could even fight. That in itself made him even more angrier.
He walked inside, his gray eyes cold and steely. He looked just like himself and the only tell that he was completely pissed off was the small muscle in his jaw that twitched.
There were a few of the harlem newsies sitting around playing cards and everyone stilled as they noticed who was standing there, some of the newbies didnt though until they noticed the others. Cole even heard one whisper.. "Whos that?"
Cole shot a glare at them. 'Wheres Your leader?" he asked. |

Note stood up out of the group of young newsies. "I'm the leader." He said flatly, "Who wants to know?" Note could tell this guy meant business, and he really didn't who he was. So he stood firm, for all he knew this guy could be out to get him, or some of his newsies.

Cole turned towards the voice, his brow raising as he took in the new leader. "hm..."he didnt look like much. "A word"he said and moved into one of the rooms off of the main room. IT wasnt a question, more of... telling him thats whats going to happen.
Cole stopped in the middle of the room and turned towards the doorway waiting for this guy to come in so he could have a few words with him. If this guy knew what was best for him hed listen and then hand over leadership to him again... if not... well.. Cole cracked his knuckles, hed be sorry. |

Note walked patiently into the room, waiting to hear what this punk had to say. He knew that some people didn't like him as the new leader, but he didn't think it would ever become a problem. Note sat down on a couch, watching every move he made. Then he heard a knock at the door. And Starsage's voice. He smiled inside, as he grew warm.
"Come in," He said sitting up straight, "Its open." He watched the door as it swung open. Revealing Starsage. "Hey Star!" He said smiling, "Ise just havin' a chat wid.." He looked at the guest, waited for him to finish with his name.

"Go away..."He said. "This is a private discussion"He told her before turning back to note. "Tell her to go now"He said not offering his name yet.
Cole didnt know who this girl was but he assumed that it was probably notes girlfriend by the wway he got that look in his eyes at her voice. IT made him want to vomit.
He didnt want to deal with crap like this. THe girl had better leave. Cole didnt further the conversation either as he crossed his arms over his chest, he wouldnt until it was just the two f them.

Note almost exploded when he told her to get out. "Don't ever talk to her that way!" He said standing up and glaring at him. It was ok for him to come in his lodging house all mad, but it wasn't ok for him do talk to his friends like that. "You can stay Star," He said turning to her.
"Now," He said looking directly at 'him' "what is your business hea?" He asked flatly. Crossing his arms, he watched him warily. He didn't want Starsage to get hurt, and he was willing to kick this guy out.

Cole quirked his brow. "Alright..."He said, 'Your business..."He shrugged. If this kid wanted her to be in here, fine. Cole didnt know how this would turn out, but if it did go two of three ways it would be to this kids embarrassment and if he needed his girlfriend around to baby him up, then fine, whatever works for him.
cole on the other hand, chose to ignore star.
"matter of business"He said, "is that I want my leadership back"He said, "When I had left I had told Drags that I would be back."eh said, "and in the meantime he was to tell max he was in charge, but when i came back I found out none of that happened"he said, "So therefore Im here to tell you, that you are not in position anymore now that I am back"he quirked his brow, waiting to see what he saaid.

"Do you know anything about this Star?" He asked, referring to what he had said. "By the way," He said smirking, "Ya still haven't told me ya name." he said an eyebrow and started to wonder if he even had a name.
This guy didn't sound like a great leader. Who would want a jerk as a leader anyway? To be a leader, you have to be more like an older brother; protective, and willing. But this guy had left them. And Note had never even heard of him.

KittyKat entered the Harlem news house. She heard Cole was back and she wanted to see him for once. She heard fighting and stuff going on in one of the rooms and she entered it. She saw the new Harlem Leader and Cole and Starsage.
"Okay what's goin on??" asked KittyKat as she looked at all three.

"He said, "She wouldnt know anything about it probably because she wasnt around at the time, the same with you"He said, 'you were prolly new when i left'He said, "fact of the matter is IM back got it"he said. Cole had been a good leader, he was tough and he knew how to keep his newsies safe. Just because he didnt baby them didnt mean crap.
When the door opened and kitty appeared he growled "christ.."He said, "Lets just make this a huge meeting,"he said. 'What the hell do you want kat?"he asked.

He gave her a pointed look. "Well "He said. "how would you like it if a meeting you planned on having with one person keeps getting interrupted by people/"he said "Specially those tha tknow nothing.."He commented, referring to star.
"this is just getting rediculous.."He threw his hands up. 'Ill be back, but just so you know... i am not backing down from this"he had turned to note his eyes glaring at him before turning and heading out the door.

"Poor Cole," said KittyKat "Oh well, I'se leavin ta go try ta cheer mr. grumpy pants up." she said and started for the door. "Oh an' Note be careful Cole ain't the guy ta mess with." she said.
She then left and closed the door behind her.
