Mark spent plenty time with young Francis hopping to give him a good life. Four years later Mary gave birth to another baby but this time a girl, they named her Mary Samantha Sullivan after his beautiful wife.
A year after little Mary was born, his Wife cought pneumonia and died three months after that. Mark went into a depression for two years after that. Not looking at little Mary or Francis. Soon he got out of his depression and went out drinking. During those years he didn't take care of his son or daughter. One night he was involved in a street riot, ended up striking and killing a man, and was thrown in jail. His sentence was a life time.
He soon realized how ignorant and neglectful he was to Francis and Mary. He never knew what happened to them after that. But soon he saw a cop reading a newspaper. Mark asked for it and saw Francis face on it, he smiled. He showed his cell mate and told him that the boy was his son. He didn't see Mary in the picture though.
One night after that he broke out of jail and ran to Brooklyn. He sent a letter to both Francis and Mary hoping they would give him another chance to be a better dad to them.
