Newsie name: n/a
Name origin: His parents named him that, thinking it would fit him well.
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Houston, Texas
Currently Living: Anywhere that's availiable in New York
History: Sterling was raised to be a nice boy. But he never listened as much to his parents. When he was a child, his favorite pastimes were running around in the blue-bonnet fields with his friends Julie Anne Mae Fort and Sarah Emerald Samuels (aka: Dreamer).
When they grew up, Sterling still talked with Dreamer, but not as much as he used to. Sometimes he would watch her with a weird stare for no good reason. But he never thought any ill of her.
He did notice Julie-Anne getting more and more jealous of his child-hood friend, and decided to watch over Dreamer more, sometimes walking by her house to make sure she was all right.
He never thought of Dreamer as a possible girlfriend. They were like brother and sister. He felt the need to watch over her, that was all.
But he had also gotten himself involved with the gang, and kept quiet most of the time. When Dreamer was having trouble explaining why she didn't want to marry Christopher, he said nothing. But she looked at him in a hurt way as if she expected that he'd help her out.
They never spoke again for a while. When the time came to destroy Dreamer's life, Sterling was the one who had to go into the barn and make sure that Dreamer was asleep and nothing stood in the way of the gang's plans. As he watched her sleep, he remembered the good times he had with her as a kid, and immedietly regretted what he was doing.
But he locked her in the barn at Christopher's command, and watched as the house burnt down from inside after Julie-Anne had gotten out of there.
When he noticed the horses from the barn breaking free through the burning barndoor (they had also set fire to the barn, hoping to kill Dreamer as well. if she didn't die, Christopher would've taken her anyway). He saw Dreamer running out, and he grabbed her, hoping that he would be able to calm her down, but he couldn't through her hysteric cries for her parents. That nearly made him cry
Before he knew it, he held Dreamer unconcious in his arms after Christopher knocked her out with the butt of his gun, giving her a nice purple bruise to the head. Just as they were leaving, Sterling gave a silent apology to Dreamer as he set her down to the ground, and then left her lying there.
When morning came, and Dreamer was gone, Sterling was thankful that she was more than likely alive, but also worried as to where his best friend went. That was the only reason he came along with the gang in search of her.
Now that he's in New York, he hoped to find Dreamer before his associates would.
