Name origin: Sass has a mouth on her and it often gets her in

History: Sass was Literally born and raised a newsie. Her mother (Blaise Wayton) was a prostitute, and her father (Teddy) was a newsie who enjoyed “Visiting” Blaise. Of course, you know how that story goes. Blaise ends up pregnant, doesn’t want the kid, so she leaves the kid on the fathers doorstep, which happened to be the Queens Lodging house. Teddy was a very kind newsboy, and tried his best to raise up his daughter. Of course, he didn't know the first thing about raising a baby, and was felt after the first 2 weeks that he should give her away. The lodging house owner at the time was unable to have children with his wife, and offered to take her. That way, Teddy would still be able to see her and watch her grow up, but she would be taken care of at the same time.
So, Sasha lived in the lodging house her whole life, and was soon given the nickname "Sass" for the mouth that she obtained by living with so any rowdy newsboys. She has never met her mother.
