Name origin: The name “Joker” comes from her inevitable ability to throw a joke into any conversation. She always has a come back, and is just plain gifted in her area of mockery and snark.

History: Who wants to live somewhere where they are constantly being overshadowed by their older siblings? “Not I!” said Chloe Hawkins, 13 year old youngest daughter of 11 children. Being the youngest daughter out of 11, you had big shoes to fill. Chloe was the impatient, rude, obnoxious, and rebellious daughter of the Hawkins family. After her mother died from Cancer, her father buckled down on his daughters out of grief, turning them all into talented performers. Chloe did not like this. She wanted to run away from her old life, and start a new one somewhere else where she would be known as herself, not as Lottie’s, Faye’s, Missi’s, Caterina’s, Sonja’s, Priscilla’s, Tempest’s, Danielle’s, Belinda’s or Jane’s little sister. So, that was that. Her father hardly even knew she existed anymore, so he wouldn’t be hard to part with. Her sisters practically hated her, so they would be easy too.
With a little stolen money from her father and sisters, Chloe boarded the first boat out to NY. Once there, while she was looking for work, she boarded with the Newsies and sold papers. After about 3 months of that, she finally found herself a nightshift job at Irving Hall. So, she is a Newsie by day (sleeping, eating and selling with them) and a performer by Night (evening more like.) That is pretty much how her life goes.
