History: Oh dear, Oh dear, where to begin...Very tragic indeed. Born to poor farm folk on the outskirts of the small village. Ted and Cassy were their names, so he was told. They lived happily for a while, as happy as poor people could, until Donald turned 7. The next years that followed were rather frightening for the poor lad. Soldiers raided their small cottage, killing his father and taking away his mother. He was left only with his sister, Amelia, who was 11 at the time, and who took care of him.
The other village boys made fun of him and teased him because he lived with his sister. They began mistreating him, and beating him, eventually leading to him and his sister as the village outcasts. He started to fight back, and began to get really good at it. He has been an excellent fighter ever since. Then, when he turned 13, the inevitable happened. They went for his sister. The older village boys and men beat her, trying to take her as a servant to work in their fields and homes. Donald had not been home at the time of it. He came home to find his sister near death on their small bit of property, and their house burnt to the ground. 4 days later, even though he cared for her and nursed her as best he could, Amelia died.
There was nothing left for him to stay for, so the 13 year old hopped ship as a cabin boy for America. He was toughened while working on the ship with the sailors, building up a good bit of muscle. He actually ate better on the ship then he had at his home, and it gave him some color.
He landed in NY, and began to wander. He got into a few street brawls, winning them all, and gained the attention of the Queens newsies. He soon joined them.
