History: Fabel was born on a ranch in Texas to VERY Christian folks in a VERY Christian town. Everyone knew everyone. No one ever locked there doors, because there was no one that anyone needed to keep out. Fabel's parents, Brady and Opal Monroe, had 12 children, Fabel being the 13th. This was a very superstitious town, and VERY religious. Thirteen was considered an unlucky number, and if a child was born on the thirteenth day of the first month, and was the thirteenth child, then they were deemed unlucky. Fabel had been the 13th child born on January 13th. Fabel grew up as the outcast, even in her own family. The only one who really loved her was her dog, Alabama or "Bama".
On Fabel's 13th birthday, her family cast her out - they couldn't handle the pressure of having an unlucky child living under their roof and being undermined by the population of their small town. Fabel was cast out along with Bama into the streets. She wandered around the southern region of the US for the next year, and then hitch hiked all the way to New York. While she was in the south, she lived with an old Story Teller who lived in his old horse drawn wagon, and rogued the countryside. When he died, thats when she headed up the coast. She hoped to find a job and settle down, never to have kids, but to tell stories to them. She has been in NY ever since.
