Some days were easier then others. They went by quickly and she could keep herself occupied. But then there were those days when Zaira wasn't sure if she was going to make it. Her mind would scream at her to just end it while she could, do away with everything. And then there were those days were guilt filled her so deeply.
That was today.
What could she have done differently? Could she have been more thankful with her parents? Would that have changed anything? A dreadful, twisting pain came from her stomach. Zaira clutched her mid section, bending over as the guilt consumed her. This is what it was like for her almost daily. The guilt was so bad, that she felt sick. She wanted to throw up.
And that is exactly what she did. Leaning against the nearest wall for support, Starsage emptied her stomach of her feeble dinner. Some stranger asked her if she was okay; she ignored and brushed past them. Tears streamed down her face while she wiped her face.
She stumbled along, ignoring as people called out to her. Finally, she could go no more. She stumbled down, landing in an alley. She leaned against the wall closest to her, clutching at her stomach as it threatened to spill it's contents again.
She couldn't hold it in any longer. The tears came pouring out. Sobs shook her body, and Zaira fought for composure. Her breathing came in gasp; she felt suffocated. She was breaking down, every part of her body became numb.
Her eyes caught something shiny deep within the alley. A piece of glass. She gasped, and reached the object. Her fingers clutched the glass. Would she do it? Her grip tightend. Could she do it? Zaira jumped back as she noticed the blood rushing from her hand. Gasping wildly, Zaira threw the glass at the wall opposite her. She couldn't do it.
