As the River Flows (Carter David)

[Jinks]

It was about seven o'clock in the morning and Jinks was walking around Harlem and ended up at the River. She loved when the sun was rising over it, it just look beautiful. She took off her boots and sat down on the edge of the river and stuck her feet in she didn't really want to get the whole way in so just her feet will do.

She started to find random rocks and started to throw them in. She wasn't really looking she was just picking up what ever she touched which wasn't really a good idea. She accidently picked up a bee, "OW!" she screamed as it stung her she let the bee go but it still hurt.

Carter was up earl today, so he was walking around by the river. Carter loved to walk by the river in the morning. It was so calm, and it seemed to make everything else calm. Most days Carter was alone when he came to the river in the mornig, but today there was a girl at the river. She was sitting there throwing rocks, so Carter didn't feel the need to go way anything to her.

Carter sat at a tree to watch the sun rise, but he was also watching the girl at the river. He thought that he had seen her somewhere, but he wasn't sure. As he sat there, he hear her scream, so he went to see what happened. "Hey are you ok?"

"Hey are you ok?"

She turned and saw a boy, "kinda, I was stung by a stupid bee." she told him as she saw her hand starting to swell. "And it really hurts." she said, "I'm Jinks," she said with a little smile and saw a couple bees flying around her so she stepped away from them a little.

She finally got a good look at him, he had dark brown hair and brown eyes. She felt her self blush a little. “Are ya a newsie?” she asked finally finding a couple of words floating around in the air.
