[Cole]
Gabbi was standing outside of the bar, not having premise for entering the place unaccompanied. A cigarette dangled loosely from between delicate, dirty fingers that seemed to be a contradiction in and of themselves. She sighed, exhaling heavily into the dewy summer night.
She was debating entering unaccompanied, but that was like asking someone to suggest that they go to his place for the night. And usually the men were the dirtiest, oldest, most foul men she could imagine.
A girl going into a bar alone was insinuating that she was a whore. Only whores and hussys went into bars uninvited by someone they knew, and even when they did. The men just made it less obvious that they thought she was when she was in the presence of another man--usually.
And so she waited now, uncomfortably avoiding the looks that ingoing men gave her. No, she wasn't waiting for a man to come stumbling out to take her home. No, she'd rather not go home with you. No, she wouldn't let you cop a feel, not even for a quarter. Sorry, men, go home to your wives.
She sighed impatiently, almost ready to leave. Perhaps it had been too hopeful for her to assume that someone she knew might just drop by and afford her enterance.

"You leaving any time soon?"Cole asked from beside her. Hed come around the other side and stopped seeing heer. He then walked up over towards her when he saw her just standing there, hed been on his way to a drink, a much needed one after everything that had been happening lately.
"Didnt think you were going to be hanging around harlem any time soon since our last meeting"He replied, leaning against the outside of the building his brow quirked at her as he waited for her reply.
His eyes moved over her casually as if ayone who was sizing someone up, but he was looking at her for different reasons. He mentally shook his head.
His brother had always guarded her, but what Blake hadnt known was of all the times he hadnt been around. He smirked a bit at the thought of what Blake would do if he ever found out the exact nature of gabbi and his relatoinship, or well whatever they did.
Cole like all the leverage he had over people and even if he didnt have it he had other things he could use. He was not a stupid man and he was not one ot be messed with either.

Gabbi gave a slight start as a familiar voice came from her side. "I was," she said, having mixed feelings about this new arrival. Yes, she could get a drink--but it would come at a price. Moreover, this price most probably either involved a scrap of a go between the sheets with Blake's brother, who just so happened to look exactly like Blake.
"I like ta take me chances," she said, uncomfortably but steadfast in her tone. "Daughter of a drunken Irish gambler. You know how it goes." A pause, "Or not, but youse could imagine." She made a face--really, a drink was needed to make her more articluate, as ass-backwards as that was.
She caught him giving her a once-over and she groaned internally, but didn't make any attempt to get out of the situation as she should have. Instead she looked for ways that she could take advantage of the situation.
"So you gonna offer to buy me a drink or not?" She asked, arching an eyebrow. It was a bad thing to do, but hey. She was selfish, and that was that.

"was?"He said. "Are you changing your mind at my arrival?'he asked. "I find that hard to believe, you must really want a drink"he grunted. "hm..'He said, "Well come in then..."he motioned towards the door.
"i dont really care, so spare the history explanation"he said, "What you do is of no concern to me... well... Sorrt of'he tilted his head a bit to the side in a thought and then shook his head and pushed away from the building to move towards the door.
"No..'He said, "dont you have money enough for a drink?"he asked with a smirk. her beeing completely ass poor that she couldnt even afford a drink made him want to laugh.

Gabbi shrugged, "Figured I might as well take advantage of you while youse heah. Not like I particularly enjoy yer company any." She smirked, pushing herself off the wall as he made a motion to go inside.
She was a bit vexed by his next little statement, and tilted her head at him. She wasn't particularly fond of Cole--not even a fraction of how fond she was of Blake-- but he was there and no one else was either. It left her with no choice.
"And what are da circumstances where deys aint...not of concern to youse?" She asked, a bit confused even by her own statement and lack of eloquence. She shrugged it off as best she could and then looked him over once, just to get herself reacquainted.
She stuck a hand into the pocket of her skirt and rummaged her fingers around in the coins. "I got money, but its bettah for me if youse pay." She wouldnt give him the satisfaction of additional feelings of superiority.

"oh no kidding"He gave her a surprised look though the sarcasm in his voice told her he wasnt surprised at all, that he knew exactly what she had wanted.
He followed her in, the question she asked made him shrug. "Well..'He said, "When it concerns my brother"He said. He looked at her when he said hat to see her reaction if she had one or not.
He took a seat at the bar, it wasnt that full really and the bar had about five people one end, the end they were on was empty. Most of the other people were at tables or in the backroom.
Cole looked over at herr. "Whatever..'He said. "Maybe I feel generaous, but ill get you a damn drink"he remarked, though he probaby would have anyway. Theyd played this games several times before in the past.

Gabbi grinned a bit at him, shaking her head. "Shut yer mouth," she said, although she felt tentative around him. She wasn't afraid of him, perse, but she supposed that he could do her a good deal of damage reguardless. Cole was one of those people she just couldn't seem to win against. This, of course, pissed the hell out of her. But again, there wasn't much she could do about it.
She glanced up at him sharply when he talked about Blake. God, he was like he was determined to fucking choke information out of her. She hadn't exactly given in before, and she didn't really want to give in now either. "Give it a rest wid dat. I donno what exactly youse trying to get me to say, but I dont think it's working."
She followed him into the bar quickly, taking a seat on the other side of him. "Hey, thanks," she said, half sincere. She grinned, getting comfortable.

"hey...'he said with a shrug. "you know.. I was just commenting I wasnt expecting anything"He looked at her. "why are you so defensive?"he aske his brows quirking a bit. He didnt care at the moment, his mind was on more important things, though he was getting a little irritated and how freely his brother was taking this time.
He knew he was already taking this welcome home time woo practically every female he saw, it was rediculous. He never understood his brothers need to do that, probably the same that Blake never understood Coles reason for not trying to woo girls.
"What do you want/"he asked her when she sat down as well. Cole held his hands up to the bartender as he came over . "Get me the usual and whatever she wants."he tender nodded and waited for her reply before turning to get the drinks.

Gabbi scowled at him, shaking her head. There was no way that she'd admit anything to Cole, partially becuase he was Blake's brother, but mostly becuase she couldn't trust him at all. She wouldn't trust him with much of anything except the ensurance of his being able--and willing-- to kick her ass.
"Whiskey," she said, but had to repeat herself when the bartender looked to her. She leaned against the bar and yawned, but then turned her gaze to Cole. She wasn't exactly sure of what to say to him--conversations rarely flowed between them, exactly, but she didn't mind silence every now and again.
Cole had this amazing ability to make her feel like a dunce every time she said something. Sometimes it was better to justnot say anything at all. But now she was willing to take her chance. "So, Cole, who're you fucking right now? Anyone in particular?"

He took a drink of his, his eyes taking on the back of the bar. There was an old mirror that lined the back of the bar and had shelves on it that held the liquer bottles. He could see almost everyone in the bar looking through that mirror.
At her question he looked at her, glancing at her through the corner of her eye and then smirked. 'not you"He said. "nor is it of any concern to you"He took another drink. He wasnt as free with himself as his brother, but he wasnt a hermit. He was a male and he did have needs though most of his needs were over ridden by the fact that he just loved to see people hurt.
Seeing that look on their face like 'oh my god i just gave away my virginity.. and he doesnt lvoe me' look. That always made him laugh. Or well any of the ones like.. he just treated me like a whore. Thats another favorite of his.

Gabbi grinned, "Not yet, anyway," she said, unpromisingly, as she watched the bartender pour her drink and hand it over. She nodded a thanks and he nodded, feeling superior to her despite himself. It was a low wage job, but hey--it kept his wife and daughters from having to do what that girl was seemingly doing.
But, of course, he was wrong. Generally. She just wasn't asking for pay.
She leaned back a bit, taking a sip of her drink. It burned her tongue and the back of her throat, but it was a good feeling. The feeling that hurt to her satisfaction. "I bet youse ain't getting any," she said, smirking, 'And if you were, you wouldn't be so f----n out of sorts all the time." She grinned and looked at him out of the corner of her eye, wondering if she was pressing her luck here.
With Cole, you never knew. He scared the crap out of her, in all honesty, and she didn't think he was beyond raping someone. Or convincing someone to have sex if they didn't want to. He seemed to be good at playing mind games, and then destroying all hopes of anything profitable for the other person.
She couldn't wait until he got some dame pregnant. So long as it wasn't her, anyway. Considering that for a few moments she decided agasint that idea. He'd probably just beat the woman until she wasn't pregnant any more.
In which case it had really, really better not be her.

At her comment he grunted. 'mm.."he said, "you really think that I hold you that highly that your a given in my bed?"he asked, "or any place for that matter.."he took another drink.
"I did say one drink.. i would slow it down"He said, "Ill give you a nother, but id savor it if i were you"He said with sarcastic suggestion.
He let his fingers drum on the bar top and then move to trace a circle in the wet condensation that was on the outside of the drink. Hed put ice cubes in his drink and they were melting now. IT was quite warm in there.
He just gave her a shrug. "Weave anything youd like into that little mind of yours, though I am flattered you think so much of me"he said with dry sarcasm. "and here I thought i was a waste of your time.."he laughed lightly.

"Of course I do," She said with a smirk, "You made dat clear the other day when youse threatened taking me then in there." And of course, that was her 'logical' reasoning. However logical it really was was inexpedient, but it definitely was legitimate reasoning in her eyes.
She shrugged, one or two drinks was enough. It saved her a bit of money, anyway. If she wanted drinks beyond that and he wouldn't provide, she had some money to fall back on. Granted it wasn't a lot--the money she'd raked in from pawning a lifted pocketwatch had gone mostly into her savings, of sorts, but she'd taken out about two dollars for some fun.
"I dont think anyone said that you weren't a waste of my time," she challanged, arching an eyebrow at him now. "Wasted time aint always a bad thing," she added, lamely, with a shrug.
