Ahh the man he'd mentioned before that she'd never heard of, a soft almost sadistic smile crossed her features. Ah, so that's what it was. Trying to take over New York sounded like a lucrative venture if she'd ever heard one. She didn't like how Mitch was describing the situation though.
"Are you up for it?"
"What do you say that you and I move this little enterprise into our favor then. If this Mike wants to take it all-- the enemy of my enemy is my friend. And no one knows that we are acquainted. If I-- move a few of the pawns across the board without them knowing they are being moved." her mind was going a million miles an hour as she held onto his arm, thinking and it was so plain to see her mind working in over drive.
"A little bit of manipulation with a dash of brains can turn the tide of any war..."

Mitch smirked, he liked the way she thought. And he couldn't wait to see Mike's reaction. It made him almost glad to know that he would soon get rewarded with what was coming too him. Thoughts of Mitch ruling New York, with Sophia with him of course, crossed his mind. He couldn't help but smile at that.
"Of course, that sounds great." He said, "You could go into Manhattan and get the information Mike desires, the bloody fools know that they're being watched by that demon. And they know he has some spies, too bad none of them are doing their job." He chuckled, none of Mike's bloody spies were doing their job. They were all slacking off. "How does that sound, my dear? You can gather information, and manipulate them to convince them that I am not as bad as Mike is." He said with a smirk.
"A little bit of manipulation with a dash of brains can turn the tide of any war..."
Mitch grinned, "Exactly."

She brushed her hair out of her face, she was a stunning woman to be sure. Strength showed in her face as she considered this and she chuckled when he said my dear. "You know all great men were either betrayed or helped along by strong women.."
And that was where she came in, her eyes were bright as she considered the possibility of this kind of move could cause. The truth of cause and effect just made her absolutely light up.
"What kind of information was he looking for, if I get it and give it to you--- you will get closer to your enemy. Giving him what he wants and you and I-- well." It was obvious. "This seems to be the dawning of a beautiful partnership, don't you agree?"

"You know all great men were either betrayed or helped along by strong women.."
Mitch smirked, "That is so true." He replied, hopefully this time he would be helped along. Sophia was probably the strongest woman he knew, she earned his respect and that was hard for him. He rarely ever gave respect to a female, they usually annoyed him to pieces, they were so demanding. It was almost work just trying to keep one happy.
"What kind of information was he looking for, if I get it and give it to you--- you will get closer to your enemy. Giving him what he wants and you and I-- well. This seems to be the dawning of a beautiful partnership, don't you agree?"
"I agree," He said, "Mike wants to know who Jack all has on his side. My suggestion is get to David Jacobs, he's close to Jack and isn't very street smart. Plus, I think there's some friction between them, so my newsies say. If you get his feathers ruffled, Jacobs might just tell all." He smirked. This was going to be great...

"That is so true."
She smiled at him, a terribly strong and dangerous woman. "You know my mother once told me that there is no shame in pride.." as they walked she considered a plan of attack.
She chuckled and it seemed almost downright meant to be, his smirk had her smiling. "You're just like a little boy who was told that he was going to be the king of the world..." And she was going to help him get there. She tapped her finger to her chin as she thought. "If there is some friction then that makes it all the easier to give the man a little nudge here and there-- you know a few well placed whispers could break a relationship..."

"You know my mother once told me that there is no shame in pride.."
Mitch smirked, "Of course there isn't. If you're not proud, than what are you?" He asked, he was very proud of who he was and who he had become. If his bloody mother knew who he was, he swore that she might've felt maybe a tiny ounce of pride. Mitch was the leader of the Bronx newsies, he was respectable, and he was intimidating. What else did he need for his character?
"You're just like a little boy who was told that he was going to be the king of the world..."
"I will be king of the world." He said, confidently. "I just need your help."
"If there is some friction then that makes it all the easier to give the man a little nudge here and there-- you know a few well placed whispers could break a relationship..."
He rolled his eyes, "Kelly and Jacobs are too bloody stupid for their own good, they probably wouldn't figure out our plan even if it smacked them in the face. David is just book smart, and Jack is just an idiot." He smirked, "Watching their relationship crumble would make my day..." He trailed off, imagining Manhattan in turmoil because of the broken trust. Mike and him were going to break Brooklyn and Manhattan's trust, but how great would it be to have Manhattan turn on itself?

"Of course there isn't. If you're not proud, than what are you?"
"Nothing but a waste of time and energy. Pride may be a vice but it is all that most people have that set them apart from the pack." She nodded at her own words, it was how she felt about it. She could remember her mom saying there was pride in a good brain and knowing you were doing something worth while. This-- seemed plenty worthwhile to Sophia.
"I will be king of the world." He said, confidently. "I just need your help."
She smiled at him, "And what does that make me Mitch? If you are to be king what will I be?"
"Kelly and Jacobs are too bloody stupid for their own good, they probably wouldn't figure out our plan even if it smacked them in the face. David is just book smart, and Jack is just an idiot." He smirked, "Watching their relationship crumble would make my day..."
Chuckling she continued on her way and nodded her head, as they went. Taking in what he was saying. She would have to get more of an opinion, asking around would be a wise choice. Find out more about all of them, though she felt she could probably manipulate Mitch if she wanted too, it didn't seem like something that appealed. She wanted him as an ally and she could have that without trying. They were of like minds and she liked it.
"You look positively giddy, you know. Now tell me why you despise this Jack so much?" she could hear it when he spoke.

"Nothing but a waste of time and energy. Pride may be a vice but it is all that most people have that set them apart from the pack."
Mitch smirked, "I couldn't of said it better myself." If he wasn't proud of who he was, then what was he? He would just be a simple man who had an anger issue. That wasn't special at all, that's not the way how to get noticed. By being prideful, he was remembered, and he never wanted to be forgotten.
"And what does that make me Mitch? If you are to be king what will I be?"
He smirked, "You'll be my queen." He said, grinning.
"You look positively giddy, you know. Now tell me why you despise this Jack so much?"
Easy answer, "He thinks that he's the greatest thing to walk the earth, and he's not. Just everything he does irks me, he doesn't deserve to be a leader. He's an airhead, a coward, and he's pathetic." Mitch stated, "If you met him, I bet you'd feel the same way."

"You'll be my queen."
She laughed and it had a melody like sound to it that was so very contradictory to her actual personality. She was devious and was finding herself more so attracted to the kind of promise he was bringing with him. Relationships were for the weak, but a partnership with equal shares?
"Now that sounds like music to my ears, The King and Queen of New York.."
"He thinks that he's the greatest thing to walk the earth, and he's not. Just everything he does irks me, he doesn't deserve to be a leader. He's an airhead, a coward, and he's pathetic." Mitch stated, "If you met him, I bet you'd feel the same way."
"Undeserved arrogance?" she tilted her head as she continued to file more and more of the information away. It sounded brilliant to her but she could make this work for them both. "You know something, we should probably discuss this more in depth. Over a meal?" she was actually starving, all those apples and not a one to feed herself with.
She needed to go back and torch that cart in a couple days.

"Now that sounds like music to my ears, The King and Queen of New York.."
Mitch smirked, "Me too.." He said, and it did. He wouldn't mind it at all if Sophia would be his Queen, she was the only female that he could see himself working with. The others would drive him up the wall, and someone would end up in tears.
He could guarantee it wouldn't be him.
"You know something, we should probably discuss this more in depth. Over a meal?"
He grinned, "That sounds like a great idea. The only decent place here in Johnson's, does that sound good for you?" He asked, "Its not the best, but I bet its better than standing in front of apples knowing you can't eat them." He said with a smirk, if he had to do that he knew that the apples wouldn't last long. They would be gone in a heartbeat, and he couldn't afford what he ate.

"That sounds like a great idea. The only decent place here in Johnson's, does that sound good for you?" He asked, "Its not the best, but I bet its better than standing in front of apples knowing you can't eat them."
Sophia rolled her eyes at the mention of not being able to eat any of the apples she'd been selling and let out a very unladylike snort. "That son of a cow will get his.. but the food sounds nice.."
Considering what they were actually doing she found she was comfortable with him, they were equals in a trade that seemed to value power over anything else. She was powerful, a mind and a body that she could use to her advantage. But where she stood she would rather have a strong ally. Though in many cases the Queen was the power-- just like her mother's ancestor.
A slow smile crossed her face as she spoke, "You know, I haven't hand anyone I considered on equal footing with me in a very long time.. you have a lot of ambition, Mitch." They were both in a world were there were haves and have nots.
She was damn tired of being the latter.

"That son of a cow will get his.. but the food sounds nice.."
Mitch chuckled, he liked how she was handling this situation. The majority of the other girls would have cried or they would be whining to him about how mean their boss was. Sophia would fight fire with fire, and it was enjoyable to watch.
"You know, I haven't hand anyone I considered on equal footing with me in a very long time.. you have a lot of ambition, Mitch."
He smirked, "So do you. I don't think I have ever met someone who was just as ambitious as I am." Mitch viewed ambition as this, you want something and you'll do anything to get it. If he wanted to he could take over the world, but New York was a fine start. It was large enough to give him the power he craved for, but small enough so it didn't overwhelm him. Even though he highly doubted that would.
It was nice to have Sophia by his side to help him. She was the only one he could think of that he wanted to help him. If it was Mike, or anyone else he would get sick of them and eventually get rid of them. Sophia was the only one who could keep up with him, and he liked that about her.

"So do you. I don't think I have ever met someone who was just as ambitious as I am."
She smiled a little, this was going to be an interesting partnership and she found she liked it. A man that could take her like she was without any kind of reservations, fear or need to control. He met her punch for punch and she enjoyed that. Wasn't like she didn't like the fear--- but she liked the championship much better.
"I'm not necessarily ambitions per say, but I do enjoy a good challenge and this is just one large chess game and I happen to want it to go in our favor. Oddly enough." She laughed. "Oh lord we are an interesting pair, a partnership like this is a long one.."

"I'm not necessarily ambitions per say, but I do enjoy a good challenge and this is just one large chess game and I happen to want it to go in our favor. Oddly enough."
Mitch grinned, "I enjoy a good challenge if it works in my favor." He said, if it benefited him he would do anything to reach that goal. If it didn't, he forgot all about it. Why waste his time and energy on something that wouldn't help him? He had given his help to other people who just threw it on the ground and stomped on it. That's when he learned not to trust others, and don't help others unless it helps yourself.
"Oh lord we are an interesting pair, a partnership like this is a long one.."
He smirked, "Its going to be interesting to see how everything plays out." He paused, "We are definitely an interesting pair. Anything that has to do with us and a situation is going to end up interesting." He said.

Mitch grinned, "I enjoy a good challenge if it works in my favor."
Sophie found herself chuckling, it was a little vain wasn't it? She didn't mind being on his arm actually-- they were both a striking pair. And yes, that was vain. Did she really care? Not really. She gave his arm a squeeze and smirked contently. "Yes, well this works for the both of us.."
He smirked, "Its going to be interesting to see how everything plays out." He paused, "We are definitely an interesting pair. Anything that has to do with us and a situation is going to end up interesting." He said.
She smiled and laughed out loud, "Oh yes, people are going to start talking I am sure... who is that girl that Mitch has been seen with." She snorted and then laughed. "Oh my mother would have laughed..."
