"Yes, well this works for the both of us.."
"Which is a good thing." He said with a pause, "You know, I'm pretty sure that we are the best looking partnership that New York has ever seen." He said with a smirk, "And we're probably the smartest as well."
"Oh yes, people are going to start talking I am sure... who is that girl that Mitch has been seen with."
Mitch smirked, "They will. They better, if they don't talk about me or us, then I need to do something to get our publicity boosted up. The respect of the public is something that I crave for, maybe its not the best. But its great to be talked about, and its wonderful to be feared." He said. He had a few tricks up his sleeves that he could use to gain the extra publicity that he craved for.
"Oh my mother would have laughed..."
He glanced down at the ground. He hated his mother, she probably wouldn't care that he did half of the things he had done. He looked over at Sophia, "I hate my mother." He said, quietly. That was the first time he ever told anyone about his mother, he felt like he could trust her. She was probably the only person he did trust.

"Which is a good thing." He said with a pause, "You know, I'm pretty sure that we are the best looking partnership that New York has ever seen." He said with a smirk, "And we're probably the smartest as well."
She smiled and lifted her chin, she had a lot of pride and nodded her agreement, "I agree, and there you go appealing to my vanity. I keep growing more fond of you as time goes on.." They barely knew one another and yet, she was-- contented to give him all her help in all aspects. And her time.
Mitch smirked, "They will. They better, if they don't talk about me or us, then I need to do something to get our publicity boosted up. The respect of the public is something that I crave for, maybe its not the best. But its great to be talked about, and its wonderful to be feared."
Sophie tilted her head to look at him and observe his form, this man was power. But he wasn't where he needed to be just yet. She liked bad, in truth she was not a good person. Oh she could fake it well enough. But a slow smile worked across her lips, "Oh yes, to be feared--- is a splendid thing..."
"I hate my mother." He said, quietly.
Something in his tone gave her pause and she slowed to see his face, her head tilted to the side. "My mother gave up the world for my father-- money, power, jewels. Everything to be a midwife and a housewife to a poor man.." she cared little really. "And they both died for their troubles. Sick and poor for the most part.. If I stand by someone I show the same devotion..." She had learned that kind of loyalty from her parents.

"I agree, and there you go appealing to my vanity. I keep growing more fond of you as time goes on.."
Mitch smirked and said nothing, he thought that they were the perfect pair for a partnership. They both knew what they wanted, they were both driven to get what they wanted, and they wouldn't let anything stand in their way. He liked her drive, her vanity, almost anything about her, he liked.
"Oh yes, to be feared--- is a splendid thing..."
"I'm already feared by my newsies, but it doesn't take much to scare them. You just have to snap your fingers and command something, most of the time they follow. The poor things, half of them are so stupid I wonder how they can manage to stand up." He chuckled, a few of his newsies were smart and they were the ones he trusted. They were the ones who would deliver messages for him, and do anything he really didn't want to do. "But, being feared by the public is what I want the most. That will take some time, and effort, but I'm up for it."
"My mother gave up the world for my father-- money, power, jewels. Everything to be a midwife and a housewife to a poor man.. And they both died for their troubles. Sick and poor for the most part.. If I stand by someone I show the same devotion..."
He grinned, "Your mother sounds ten times better than mine, my mother didn't care about me or my siblings, and she just left us when I was fifteen."

"No one fears me, yet..." she laughed, the laugh made her look beautifully wicked. Like the women that the typical people did fear; beautiful, powerful, and enchanting. A cross between the debutant women of her mother's class and the gypsy witches of her country and many others. "But they will learn, potential is a terrible thing to waste.."
He grinned, "Your mother sounds ten times better than mine, my mother didn't care about me or my siblings, and she just left us when I was fifteen."
"She sounds like a beastly sod," Sophie sighed and gave his arm a squeeze again, she felt as if he needed it so she shifted closer to him and lifted her head to the wind. "My mother, taught me a great many things-- in truth I miss both my parents.." She got her personality from somewhere, and it was from her mother.
"You have my loyalty, Mitch," as her father did her mother. Dangerous women from a line that we proud of them. She was after all related to Bloody Mary though she said nothing about it ever. "For all your ambitions and goals, I will stand by you threw it. Does that suit?"

"No one fears me, yet... But they will learn, potential is a terrible thing to waste.."
Mitch smirked, "They will fear you, what reason should they not?" He asked, Sophia had every quality that a great leader needed. She was probably more intimidating than all of the Manhattan newsies, plus Mike put together. And that meant something, Mitch could fell that she would go far in the crazy newsie war.
"My mother, taught me a great many things-- in truth I miss both my parents.."
He smiled sadly, "I miss my father," he said. "To this day I'm convinced that my mother killed him for money." He knew it was true, even when he was younger and his sisters would say, "Mother would never do that." His mother was where he got his determination. She would stop at nothing until she got what she wanted, and that was how Mitch was too.
"You have my loyalty, Mitch, For all your ambitions and goals, I will stand by you threw it. Does that suit?"
A smile slowly spread across his face, "It does..." He said, slowly. "Thank you, Sophia. You have my loyalty as well." They were partners now, and they were going to take over New York together. He knew that they both had the drive and the ability to do it. Mitch could only imagine Mike's face when he realized how far Mitch had progressed without him. Mike was too busy dealing with his personal life to bother with the reality, what was really going on.

"They will fear you, what reason should they not?"
She smiled brightly at him, she was enchantingly beautiful when she had that smile on her face. Such a dangerous combination when it came to ambition and fear. And loyalty. They were both a strange combination.
"I miss my father," he said. "To this day I'm convinced that my mother killed him for money."
Sophie had never had much compassion for anyone, it was almost like she was devoid of it. With a soft sigh she lifted her free hand to his cheek, let it rest there in a kind of quiet understanding. Just this person she would give what she kept to herself.
It does..." He said, slowly. "Thank you, Sophia. You have my loyalty as well."
She returned that smile, and nodded. "Then we are in agreement.." She really didn't care what he did, the more he was capable of the more he was worthy of being at her side and she his. It was one of those dangerous situations and great problematic ones that always ended in a different way.

Mitch grinned back at Sophia, the two of them were a dangerous pair. Both of them had evil minds, determination, and were intimidating. The type of people that others cowered around, he knew that his newsies were terrified of him. One glance was enough to shake one of the boys to tears, and he relished in it when that happened.
He glanced at her when she touched his face, he smiled sadly and said nothing. It was just a nice quiet moment between the two, and he liked that.
"Then we are in agreement.."
Mitch nodded, "Now, what shall we do first?" He asked, he wanted to see what she would say. At the moment he couldn't think of anything that was dominantly important, he was positive that as things progressed he would think of too many things. Mike was handing orders out left and right, only Mitch knew that Mike was half a step behind him and Sophia. He would laugh in his face when he saw Mike finally figure out what was really going on. He smirked just thinking about it.

"Now, what shall we do first?" He asked
Sophie looked around for a moment and up at the sky, time had passed a lot quicker than she had anticipated and shew as still hungry. Her stomach growled and she sighed a little, "Well I do believe that a meal is in order, it's getting dark-- I've a mission to accomplish later in the week.." She was going to poison that apple seller and set fire to his cart, she could do it. She knew where to get the right herbs and how to get into the man's house. A healthy dose of showing some chest and he would never know what hit him. And she'd have her revenge for being dragged around like that.
After that settled on her mind she looked up at him and smiled, he was a handsome one to be sure. She would help him threw things, after all-- she would be a queen some day.

"Well I do believe that a meal is in order, it's getting dark-- I've a mission to accomplish later in the week.."
Mitch nodded in agreement, "Yes, a meal is in order. Where would you like to go, my dear?" He asked, "We can go anywhere, the Bronx doesn't have much to offer with its dining. Sometimes I wonder how I don't starve living here. There isn't anything worth staying to eat for."
He looked over at her and grinned, how lucky was he? He had gained a new partner, and they were already two steps ahead of Mike's plan. Of course he wouldn't let Mike know just yet that he wasn't going to continue through with him. Oh no, he would let the little sucker play right into his hand and then when the timing was right he would ditch him. Just imagining his reaction would be priceless. Mike should've been more careful in picking a business partner. Mitch was dangerous, he was loyal to those who were loyal to him, but he was also very self driven. Mike wasn't progressing as fast as Mitch wanted. That's why he was getting rid of him.
Mitch was a do it now sort of guy, when he saw what he wanted he went after it, and he got it. No questions asked, he would do anything to get to the top, even if it meant pushing people down. He had no problem killing off kids, hitting girls, pushing everything aside. He knew what he wanted, and he knew when he wanted it, and he knew was going to get it. No matter what, Mitch would be the face that everyone feared. He looked over at Sophia and smirked, they were soon going to be the most feared people in all of New York city. Soon...it was only a matter of time.

She twined her arm around his and decided they looked like a very good pair, lifting her chin as they went she almost looked like her mother's nobility. Without actually being it, her eyes darted over to Mitch and she smiled up at him when he spoke.
"Yes, a meal is in order. Where would you like to go, my dear?" He asked, "We can go anywhere, the Bronx doesn't have much to offer with its dining. Sometimes I wonder how I don't starve living here. There isn't anything worth staying to eat for."
"Anywhere that will feed us that isn't going to take one look at my skirt and make demands," she grit her teeth, she was frugal to the point of neglecting her clothing at times but she looked like that old tan skirt was a silk gown whens he entered a room. She could make that happen. She'd always been able to make it more then what it was. "Though I'm sure there is a dinner around here somewhere that has nice food..." Because she was hungry she was not being particular but she smiled all the same. He was so crass, it was one of the things that attracted her.

"Anywhere that will feed us that isn't going to take one look at my skirt and make demands,"
For the first time since he met her, he actually took a good look at what she was wearing. At least she was wearing a skirt, that's all he could ask for. He only respected women who treated themselves as women, and didn't walk around acting like men. Men were men, women were women. End of discussion, and he was right. Of course.
"Though I'm sure there is a dinner around here somewhere that has nice food..."
He paused in thought for a moment. There had to be, The Bronx had everything else. Why not food? He slowly nodded, "I think that there is this one restaurant close by that does have somewhat decent food. They actually cook food and not garbage that they find outside and heat up." Mitch shrugged, "The name of the place escapes me, but I know where its at. Would you like to go there?" He asked.

Sophia didn't believe in dressing like a boy, if you were a female you were a female and you should use what you have to your advantage not hide it amongst pants and overalls. That was irritating, she WAS a female and very proud of it. Her blouse was done up but she was wearing a shawl over her shoulders, the tanned skirt was a little bit long on her but not to noticeably. She was wearing some incredibly nice boots under the work skirt.
"I think that there is this one restaurant close by that does have somewhat decent food. They actually cook food and not garbage that they find outside and heat up." Mitch shrugged, "The name of the place escapes me, but I know where its at. Would you like to go there?" He asked.
She nodded and smiled at him, "Yes, that I can agree with.. I have been staring at apples all day and unable to eat a single one.." Her jaw locked a little but she shrugged her shoulders afterward and sighed before a soft smile crossed her face. "So-- how are we going to explain our relationship if anyone becomes wise enough to ask?"

"Yes, that I can agree with.. I have been staring at apples all day and unable to eat a single one.."
Mitch shook his head, "That's almost like torture." He mused, "I've been wondering, what exactly are you going to do the jerk?" He asked, "I want to hear your plans for that man." He smirked at the thought. The man had it coming, it angered Mitch at how he treated Sophia earlier. He didn't know the man, and yet he hated him.
"So-- how are we going to explain our relationship if anyone becomes wise enough to ask?"
He hadn't thought about someone asking about them. He was quiet for a moment as he thought, "You know, I'm not sure." He said, slowly. "If we say that we're just business partners, I know word will get back to Mike. If that happens, then its all over. Mike will find a way to get to your or me, and that wouldn't be good. Mike is an idiot, but he's a powerful and respected idiot." He said. "What do you think we should do?" This was the first time that Mitch had actually thought about their relationship. He knew that they could help each other out, and that was about as far as he thought.

"That's almost like torture." He mused, "I've been wondering, what exactly are you going to do the jerk?" He asked, "I want to hear your plans for that man."
She took a breath and looked over at him when he asked, tapping her fingers against his arm. "Arsenic..." she smiled a little bit and moved closer to him so that over hearing ears would not hear. "Arsenic in his tea, it will kill him and he'll never over step me again.. and I'll torch that cart.."
"You know, I'm not sure." He said, slowly. "If we say that we're just business partners, I know word will get back to Mike. If that happens, then its all over. Oh a sigh she looked up at the sky to see the fading light and watched as the lamps were being lit and she tilted her head a little as she listened to the heels of someone's boots tapping on the cobblestones. "You could always say I'm you're new girlfriend.. unless you don't like that idea.."

"Arsenic in his tea, it will kill him and he'll never over step me again.. and I'll torch that cart.."
Mitch beamed and then chuckled, "It sounds like a perfectly brilliant plan!" He said, "He's getting what he deserves." Mitch smirked, "You could always take a few apples before torching the cart, and throw them at the little brats walking by. Just enough to knock one or two out. With just the right throw, I think it could be possible." He grinned. Their minds were perfectly evil, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
"You could always say I'm you're new girlfriend.. unless you don't like that idea.."
He looked over at her, a small grin spread across his face. "I like that idea." He said, softly. Who knew it? Mitch actually had a heart, he wouldn't be surprised if that was someone's reaction to it. Mitch was always seen as very hard, and very cold. He was seen as full of hatred, sure, he was full of hatred. But he did have a soft spot for people such as Sophia. People who actually did mean something to him.
