History: Tate was born to to loving parents in the decent part of Manhattan. Her father, a professor of the new field of Egyptology at New York University, married her mother, a young working girl, when she was a young girl. Giving birth to her only child, Elizabeth, weakened her but she pulled threw until a bad strain of influenza hit their apartment building and she passed on.
Her father didn't deal as well as one might hope with the passing of his wife but Johnathan was resilient and raised his baby girl up with a cheerful disposition and a bright smile. She was a loving little girl and soon enough her father got the funding to take himself to Egypt.
Not wanting to leave his daughter alone he sent for his sister, Marrissa, to come and live with them and stay with Tate while he was out of town. Unfortunately, Marrissa wasn't all that stable when she came to New York and it turned into Tate caring for her slightly psychotic aunt and hoping that no one calls the police on her and hauls her away.
Tate doesn't let anything bad that has happened in her life stop her from living it to the fullest, the Potter's come from money but her father was very frugal with his inheritance so they live moderately but well. She doesn't have to work at the Bakery but she wants too. And one day hopes to own her own house of sweet buns and bread.
