Street's bare feet echoed off the hard floor of the museum's floor. She had snuck in-with the help of a friendly worker-and was now wandering around the 'Renaissance Paintings and Painters' section. She marveled at Titian's Bacchus and Ariadne. She liked the colors, and dramatic strokes her used. Street wasn't an artist, or even a fan of art, but she had needed to lay low, and what was better then a walk among beautiful things?
She stopped in front of one painting, it showed many people at a table. Having never read the bible (very unusual) and having never paid attention in the orphanage's sunday school lessons (not her fault!), she did not recognize the painting. Staring at the plaque, and trying to make sense of the words, she finally understood enough of it; "'The Last Supper, by Leo-Leonardo Da Vinci? On loan'." She read aloud. "Well, great paintin' Leo!" She said cheerfully, she studied the faces a little longer and then moved on to a different one.
Street stopped in front of one by 'Raphael'. She liked this one, it was the face of a wise old man. "'Julius the second' huh?" She asked the painting. She imagined Julius speaking to her, and telling her a funny story involving a Swedish goat that tried to eat Raphael's paintbrush as he painted the old man. Street stifled her giggles-which only slightly echoed off the walls.
(I know nothing of the Brooklyn Museum, so I fluffed a bit. Don't kill me ^^'.)
