Full Name: Lillian Fitzgerald

Name origin: Perch's nickname was given to her by her father. Often she would tend to perch herself up high where she could see all the things around her.
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Birthplace: New York
Currently Living: Brooklyn, NY
History: When she was very young her mother left her and her father to fend for themselves. Lillian was destroyed by the abandonment but with her father there to care for her she healed quickly and latched onto him. Whenever he would leave she would be anxious until he came home alive and well.
Her father took good care of her, doing everything he could for her until she was nine and he began to get sick more often than usual. He had been very sick when he was younger and as a result his immune system was not as strong as it should have been. Their roles began to be reversed as she took care of him, doing everything she could to keep him with her.
She left home on the night that he died because she couldnt stand to be in the house without him and because she knew that she would have to be alone from now on. She couldn't rely on anyone and she had to be for herself {because who else would be?}. She decided that she would move into a Lodging house with the newsies with whom she had sold papes with to make a few extra cents over the last few years when things got tough.
