((Ask first..? ))
Everything was dark, and there was no noise. It must not be time to get up yet. April rolled onto her back from her side and opened her eyes. No light came in, so it must not even be dawn yet. She figured it must be sometime in the night. The bed above her creaked, and shuddered in a very frightening way as the person occupying it moved around. They must be restless as well.
April sat up and felt around for her one and only ribbon to tie her hair up with. She found it and quickly pulled her hair back. She stood up from her bunk and stretched, her arm knocking into the slab on the bunk above hers. What she didn't know, was that her arm had knocked the slab loose, and the next time the person above her moved, the whole thin mattress would fall on her, with the occupant.
She felt her way to the washroom, pumped some water for a drink, and then felt her way back to her bunk. She knew this path well, and knew immediately when she had come to her bunk. She climbed back into her bunk and tried to go back to sleep. She heard a faint creaking above her and a bit of grumbling, and before she knew what was happening, there was a loud bang and she was pinned.
She screeched, not knowing what had happened or what was on top of her. It's the feeling you get when you are asleep and someone suddenly drops you into water. She felt like she was drowning, suffocating, and she struggled underneath the weight until it finally lifted with a lot of groans from the occupant.
She sat up as soon as the mattress was off of her and whispered shrilly, "Are you trying to kill me?!" she was sweating and breathing hard.
