She sat on the Horace Greeley statue, her legs dangling off the side as she looked down allowing her hair to topple into her pale face. She was listening closely and intently, for any sign of trouble, any sign that the store keeper had possibly called the bulls on her just for starting a small arguement in the bookshop. She hadn't done it out of harm or bad intentions, she had got carried away was all. Well a little too carried away, she didn't tend to catch herself before she did stupid things, and well pulling out a small knife in a book store wasn't smart but the guy had threatened her first. She ran a hand through her hair shakily before bringing it into her pocket and taking out a cigarette.
She brought it to her lips and flicked the match against the statue's stone before lighting the cigarette and tossing the match aside. She kept her eyesight down still as she inhaled and then blew out a small smoke ring. She adjusted her black newsie cap on her head momentarily before dropping one hand into her lap and keeping the other one at access to maintain her smoking. She would sit and wait it out for awhile, the book store was a few blocks away, she doubted she'd get caught.

Frankie made his way over to the horace greely statue, leaning up against it he brought the coffee to his lips and took a drink. He'd finished his days work at the docks and decided to take a stroll. He usually liked going between the buroughs, he wasnt holden to any one in particular. Granted he lived in Brooklyn and he rarely was at his apartment.
Frankie gave a friendly smile and a nod towards the girl that was already there. She looked younger then he was and he was pretty sure she was a newsie just by her attire. ((sorry that was terrible. itll be better next time i swear))

She looked over at the boy, well he seemed more of a man, but she seemed to think all guys were boys and girls were girls, it was logical, maybe not proper, but logical. She tilted her head slightly as he smiled at her and nodded and she bit her lower lip as she summed him up momentarily. She wasn't one to get too close at first, unless she liked you first off. She hesitated but she did speak after a few moments.
"Nice day ey?"she muttered, she wanted to kick herself for the fact that that had been the first thing she had said, that wasn't a proper way to start any conversation, that was a way to start a boring chat that normally ended up being just a waste of time. She shook her head slightly thinking to herself she could do better. "Uh, no wait..."she muttered absently in thought, she was determined to say something else,"hmmmm, uh.."she couldn't think of anything so she jumped from her seating position on the statue and stood before him as she ran a hand through her hair before extending her other hand to him,"uh I'm Cowgirl..."she managed, it was the only other option that wasn't meaningless, at least by doing this she'd probably get his name in return.(no it's fine lol ^^)
