Mimi laughed, her dark brown curls sprawled out around her. "Yeah, I'm okay." She breathed heavily. She turned around and rolled over on her own back. "Why'd you have to run Star? Walking would've done us just fine." She muttered as she stood up, and for the second time brushed the dirt off of her slacks and her shirt.
Mimi looked around. "Where are we at?" She asked, she didn't recognize the surroundings, from what she could tell they weren't in the Bronx. She looked over at Starsage who was beaming, she obviously had some sort of plan going on. "Star..." Mimi began to say slowly, "What are we doing here?"

Mimi crossed her arms, "Yeah but walking lets you enjoy the scenery." She argued. She squinted her eyes, "Patience is not my strongpoint." She followed Star into what seemed like...a theatre? She looked around, the place was huge, she looked up and saw a balcony. She turned around and walked backwards for a moment, until she ran into a table, and nearly fell on top of it. She steadied herself, and continued to look around.
"Velcome Star! I missed you!"
Mimi heard a voice and shot around, she saw a lady with flaming red hair go over and hug Starsage. She had no clue who this lady was, so she stayed near the back of the theatre. But something inside of her was itching to get onto the stage, just for old time's sake. She tucked a loose curl behind her ear as she walked towards the stage. Star and the lady, who was addressed to as Medda, were still talking. Mimi heard her name but didn't bother to turn around, her sharp gaze was fixed on the stage. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Medda leave and Star turn around. Slowly, she walked onto the stage.

Mimi turned around, "I remember." She replied in a whisper. She looked at the empty seats of the theatre. She smiled sadly, it was a bittersweet moment, as she remembered Star's parent's and how they'd always smile and clap when the girls were done singing. That's how Mimi wished her parents were, supportive and loving, but Star's parents died, which wasn't fair at all. Mimi's parents were still alive, or they were when she left them, but they didn't care what became of their daughter. "What if nobody cares?" Mimi thought.
She heard Star sing the beginning words of the song they both knew and loved so well, she closed her eyes, imagining the simpler times as she sang.
Mimi began to sing, with her eyes still closed. I sit and watch the sky. And I can hear it breath a sign... She smiled, its been too long since the last time she sang.

Mimi took a deep breath and tried to find the raw passion that she always sang with. Her hands hung by her sides, they never needed to be busy when she sang.
And when I think of him, I remember...
She could feel a warmth come over her, that took away the numbness she's been feeling. Her passion was back, and was burning more than ever..

Mimi smiled, looking over at Star as she sang harmony with her.

It wasn't until right there did Mimi actually realize how much she missed performing with Star, they both sounded amazing together. They always did.
She closed her eyes again and sang,
In his eyes I see a gentle glow, And that's where I'll be safe, I know!
Even though she didn't have anybody to be safe in, she didn't have anybody to hold her or tell her its alright, she didn't have someone to love her. She had herself...and her dreams, that's where she pulled her inspiration from, Her dreams.

Skittery wandered into Irving Hall after spotting what looked like Starsage running in. He wanted to talk to her, well, to give her a piece of his mind. As he finally got up the courage to walk in though, he heard singing. It wasn't just some kids standing on the stage for fun and trying there best to sing, but it was a song in perfect Harmony If Skittery ever did hear it.
He began to clap, not thinking that the song wasn't over and yelled, "Heya Star - I didn't know ya could sing!"
He had almost forgotten why he had followed her in. He noticed the girl who had been singing with her and gave a curt nod before turning back to Starsage. "You. You are a piece of work ya know that!" he yelled angrily.

Mimi blinked awkwardly. She could somehow feel the tension between Star and the other guy. Her hand immediently flew up to her neck as she toyed with the gold chain.
She shifted her weight, trying to ignore the conversation. She continued to toy with her chain, watching Star react to him. "Should I say something?" She thought. She cleared her throat awkwardly, "Ahem."

"Listen, Skittery, I know. I am sorry." She took another step forward. "I should 'ave said somethin'..."
Skittery rolled his eyes and dropped his left over papers on a seat next to him. "Shoulda said somethin' my ass!" he yelled walking another step forward. "Jack finds ya half naked in his lodging house because I was trying to help you and I get all the blame!" He yelled again, taking another step. "I mean, what da hell?!" he shouted angrily throwing his hands up in the air.
"Ahem."
Skittery looked behind Starsage and saw the girl she had been singing with. His glare did not soften. "What?" he asked shortly. He wasn't in the mood. He was never in the mood, in fact. Star had made him angry, and it was going to take a lot more than "I'm Sorry".

Mimi watched the two argue, and yell at each other. She swallowed and her careful gaze went from Star to the person Star was yelling at, Star called him Skittery, so Mimi thought it'd be safe to assume that was his name.
She looked back at Star, who mouthed, "I'm sorry" to her. Mimi gave her a small nod, she was confused about what was going on between Star and Skittery.
Just give us a few minutes
Mimi nodded again, and smiled at the face that Star just made. She knew that it meant Star was not happy, "Okay, take as long as you need." Judging by the looks on each of their faces, she knew that she'd better stay out of it. Things looked like they were going to get ugly.

"Skittery, if ya would jist let me explain! As soon as you left I told Jack that I shouldn't 'ave been in there without his permission. If ya wouldn't have gotten so defensive in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess!"
Skittery took another step forward so that his face was mere inches away from hers. He had a scowl plastered to his face, and it wasn't about to change anytime soon.
"What the hell S'matter with you?! You put the blame all on me!" he yelled. This was turning into a screaming match. "I nevah shoulda helped you in the first place!" he yelled, once more throwing his hands in the air. What was wrong with people now a days? Someone helps them and the thanks they get is getting blamed for something! Skittery was very mad, and completely forgot about the girl standing still on the stage.

"Geeze Skittery, I told ya that after ya left I said it was my fault!" "Why aren't ya listenin' ta me!?" "Ya got ears don'tcha?"
Skittery narrowed his eyes, "Fact is, it don't matteh whether or not it was your fault or not at this point. The real reason behind it all now is that you embarrassed me in front of them. Humiliated me. Don't you get it?" he snarled at her. Today was NOT his day. He hadn't planned on blowing up at her like this, it had just...happened.
Maybe he should just stalk out right then and there. He didn't know. He could keep yelling, or he could just leave her hanging. He was getting her back now at least. Her friend could hear the whole thing - so it was like a replay of what happened at the lodging house - Only Star was the victim this time.

Mimi's eyes widened as she listened to their argument. She was pretty confused, she knew it had to do with a lodging house, some other people and Star... naked? She winced as they kept screaming at each other. Her gaze went from Star to Skittery, as she watched them argue and yell at each other.
"Lets not forget who was found naked by a buncha guys..."
Her jaw opened slightly, that was very...unlike Star. Mimi felt more confused than ever, her pale hands played around with her brown curls as she wondered if she should interrupt them. Things had already got pretty ugly, if they got worse, she'd be suprised. Well it could be worse, one of them could be dead.
"Um, Star?" She said quietly. "Why were you found naked by a bunch of guys?" She asked, as she bit her lip trying not to laugh.
