((Okay, I'm just going to say that Star was never leader... just second in command until he came back?))
Mitch strolled through the lodging house door, taking in every aspect. It was so good to be back. It had only been a few months, but all the same, he missed it. Starsage, a good friend of his, had taken charge for him while he was gone. She now was his second in command.
Mitch only had a few girl newsies, the ones he knew could handle themselves. Bronx was said to be one of the most feared boroughs, next to Brooklyn. Apparently, while he was gone, it had gotten soft. Mitch didn't really blame Starsage for that, but was glad to be back in leadership. He intended to get Bronx back up on the leader board. Enough of the soft borough and leader, time for a tough one.
He'd only been leader for about a year before he had to leave for a couple of months. Family business, you could call it. But he was back now. A lot had changed since he was gone. A new leader had taken over Queens. Pity, Mitch fancied Houdini. Her and Starsage were some of the only girls he'd come to respect.
But anyway, Mike also heard that a new "bad guy" was in town. Mitch was interested in that. The newsies needed some action. After the strike, things sorta died. Action would be nice. Things were to quiet.
Mitch strolled into the lodging house, smirking, glad to be back. He greeted a few of his newsies on the way in. They were a good bunch of kids, annoying sometimes, but they would do.
A knock came at the door, and Mitch crinkled his eyebrows in confusion. Who knocked? "Someone, get that!" He demanded. One of the littler newsies jumped up and grabbed for the door.
