"But you see, it may not be completely true, but fer as long as I've known Jack, I used to think it could happen, I used to tell myself when we were younger that it was possible to be his and only his, but then as I got older I came to realize that it was a dream, one that would take a lot of time to fulfill if it were to be fulfilled at all, he prolly just sees me as a sister, or another one of the boys, we've always been close until just recently, but now it seems impossible..."
Roger cleared his throat and nodded awkwardly. This was major girl talk, something one girl said to the other. It made him feel slightly uncomfortable. Well, more then slightly. He cracked his neck from side to side. He really didn't know what to say. He simply nodded and gazed down, avioding her eyes.
,"You seem fairly nice you know, you seem like you're prolly a great friend,"
A small frin crept unto his face. Like anyone, Roger enjoyed being complimented. It really helped him. "Thanks..." he muttered, just as quietly as she did. "You're pretty nice too, ya know."

She heard his words and let them set in for a moment as she looked down,"I'm sorry, I mean you've been listening to me ramble on and on about things you don't really much understand, I mean let's change the subject....uh tell me about you, I mean you don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to, but that's your choice,"she said as she looked back up at him. She really didn't know what to say any more, but she didn't want to leave either.
She looked out the window and began humming softly to herself absent mindedly before looking back at him and nodding slightly to herself as she took another drink of her water.

Roger smiled and nodded. "Well, I have been living on my own for a long time now. I really don't consider my parents parents," he looked at her and smirked. "But that is another story." He shrugged and glanced around. It was starting to get busy, and he guessed he needed to be heading back to work.
"Listen," he looked back at her. "I would love to stay and talk, but I have got to get back to work." He offered her a sympathetic smile and stood to leave.
"If you need anything, just yell."

She smiled at him as he stood,"I will, but I may just wait around until business dies, looks like rain..."she said turning her head to the window before looking back at him. She smiled weakly and shrugged,"how long do you work for today?"she asked as she tilted her head slightly. She didn't want to pry, and she actually did intend on leaving in a little while, but she didn't want to lose touch with someone so unique.
"If you ever are in Manhattan look meh up Roger, I'm not hard ta find,"she said as she stood as well and took her last drink of water before handing him the empty glass.

Roger smiled and nodded. "We need to talk again..." He turned and started back to the counter at the end of the store. Something about Cowgirl made him want to talk to her again. She was an easy person to talk to, making conversation comfortable. He did intend to look her up.
((Sorry, short. But there was not to say.))
